It looks like the beta driver is unstable to my system. The error message is "system thread exception not handled".Īnd the following is the crash dump made by it. I had a blue screen error again when I was seeing a youtube page with Chrome browser. Now switching modes is slower than before, but even if I don't use this, the sound issues mentioned above still occur. Once again, I have been using this since I bought the x-fi card, and there have never been issues. I also use a free program called x-fi mode changer, to switch modes automatically based on the programs I use. I don't use the normal speaker outputs of the card. The Decoder option is also missing, not too sure if this is related. I have reinstalled the drivers, removed the drivers reinstalled, and always the same issues. Also another odd thing is I use the I/o port for optical out, always have been, but now I can only get sound when switching modes if I have the Encoder enabled, which ten reduces the volumes and quality of the sound. Ok, using the default browser in Wind(don't use any other browser, never needed to), watching random YouTube videos, sound will be fine for a few minutes, then randomly cut out, if I stop and restart the video the sound will work again, eventually the sound becomes louder and its mostly static, then nothing. It's not a huge deal, I'm overjoyed that everything works with 1903 to begin with, but I'd appreciate any input you could share. Personally, double/right clicking took some time before this brand new driver, too, but I'm under the impression that returning from above-mentioned submenus takes significantly longer now. The reason I'm asking is that maybe you'd know if that's something that can be fixed by clean installing everything, or if it just comes with the territory of using the rather dated apps (2010ish). When you double or right click the volume panel in the task bar, is there a delay of quite a few seconds until anything happens for you, too?įurther, does returning from the SVM, Crystallizer or Mixer menus always take like three seconds for you, too? One thing I'd like your input on, though: if I right click the volume panel, it says version 2.21.18, and the console launcher says it's version 2.61.58. Yes, the DK 4.0 pack contains such a setup folder, I just mentioned that looks like some wires got crossed in all the excitement, haha. Let me know if you need any additional information or want me to test things for you. I rounded up vendor ID's from Device Manager:PCI\VEN_1102
